Bear Mountain Indian School and African-American Integration Documentaries
Lynn Kable, President of Amherst Glebe Arts Response, Inc. (AGAR), will moderate the program. The Bear Mountain School served Monacan students in grades one through seven until 1962 when they were integrated into the white school system. Bev Jones, chair of the Diversity Committee of Amherst County will lead a post-film discussion on the documentary on early integration of African-American students. Light refreshments.
